3000ft Mountains in England and Wales

The Database of British and Irish Hills lists twenty-seven mountains over 3000 feet in England and Wales.  Our plan is to climb all of them by the end of 2014.  We’ve made a good start already – here is a list of the sixteen summits we completed earlier:

  • Snowdon – Yr Wyddfa
  • Snowdon – Crib y Ddysgl
  • Glyderau – Glyder Fawr
  • Glyderau – Glyder Fach
  • Scafell Pikes – Scafell Pike
  • Glyderau – Castell y Gwynt
  • Scafell Pikes – Scafell
  • Scafell Pikes – Symonds Knott
  • Scafell Pikes – Ill Crag
  • Scafell Pikes – Broad Crag
  • Skiddaw – Skiddaw
  • Skiddaw – Skiddaw Middle Top
  • Skiddaw – Skiddaw South Top
  • Snowdon – Crib Goch
  • Skiddaw – Skiddaw North Top
  • Glyderau – Tryfan

Which leaves the two tops at Helvellyn, two more in the Glyderau and all seven Carneddau as our challenge for 2014.
